Dropout Report

REPORT PURPOSE
Defines the count and percentage of dropouts per school year.


According to the CCD definition, a dropout is an individual who was enrolled in school at some time during the funding year (for example, on or after October 3, 2011 thru September 30, 2012 is not enrolled as of Count Day 2012) has not graduated from high school or completed a state or district approved education program; and does not meet any of the following exclusionary conditions:

a. transfer to another public school district, private school, or state or district approved education programs;
b. temporary absence due to suspension or school–approved illness;
c. death 

HOW TO USE OR INTERPRET THIS REPORT
The data from this report originate from the SRI (formerly EASIER) data collection.  This data collection is one directly from school districts to the Department of Education.

DATA DEFINITIONS AND EXPLANATION OF CALCULATIONS WITHIN THIS REPORT (if applicable)
Calculations are based upon the number of Dropouts divided by the enrollment for the given school year (or disaggregation enrollment quantity).
