Des Moines Public Schools is also excited to take part in the Gallup Student Poll which measures the hope, engagement, and well-being of students. By participating in this survey, students can safely share what they think about their life in school, at home, and in the community. The main focus of the survey is on the attitude of students, how hopeful they feel, how engaged they are with school, and their sense of well-being. Based on our work with Gallup, these are some key factors that influence student grades, achievement and graduation as well as future steps towards higher education and employment.
