This site organizes resources related to the FastBridge assessments used for universal screening and progress monitoring at Des Moines Public Schools.
​Together, these assessments help us identify who has needs and evaluate whether instructional supports provided are meeting those needs.

Rights Request Form 
  • Most district roles in DMPS are not assigned to a building in Infinite Campus. If you need access to FastBridge and you are not assigned to a building in IC, please complete this Rights Request Form.

earlyReading/earlyMath
An evidence-based assessment used to screen and monitor student progress. Administered in grades K-1, for screening and for frequent progress monitoring. Each assessment is designed to be highly efficient and inform instruction.

aReading/aMath

A simple and efficient procedure for screening students' broad reading or math abilities. aReading & aMath are computer-adaptive test and students respond to between 30 and 60 questions on each testing occasion. Based on a student's response patterns, the assessment will identify items of increasing or decreasing difficulty until it is able to estimate a student's skill level. 
CBMreading 
A simple, efficient, evidence-based assessment used for universal screening and progress monitoring. A teacher listens and evaluates a student’s performance, including accuracy, error types, and qualitative features, while they read aloud from a grade-level passages for one minute. 
CBMmath Automaticity

AUTOreading

A  simple, efficient, evidence-based assessment used for universal screening and progress monitoring. The 90 second assessment evaluates the degree to which a student’s basic math facts and operations are accurate and automatic (fluent).
AUTOreading is a suite subtests that measure the accuracy and rate of phonological (sound), orthographic (spelling), and semantic (meaning) skills. When used for screening, specific sets of the subtests are used together, with the screening subtests varying by grade level.

Additional FastBridge materials can be found in the DMPS Assessments Team or in the FastBridge platform. Building Test Coordinators have access to this team and can assist you with additional resources.
