Gallup Q12 Employee Engagement Poll: October 22 - November 5
DMPS will be conducting the Gallup Q12 Employee Engagement Poll from October 22 through November 5. All staff will receive a pre-survey email from DMPS on October 15. Staff can access the survey via the link in the email from Gallup on October 22 or by visiting https://survey.gallup.com/desmoines2018 and entering their employee ID number as their access code. Administration logistics and FAQ are located here. A flyer to promote participation is located here. New Tableau Report for OLR Application Status
This report will show you all the types of applications you still have outstanding for your building! It will break down by Unsubmitted, Submitted – Existing, Posted – Missing Proof of Residency, and Posted Missing – Information. It will also give you a day count on how “old” they are. Instructions on how to set the view to only your building, and how to subscribe to a weekly update to the view are located here. That way it will automatically email you each week, and you never have to go look for it! Dashboard Highlight: Attendance Analysis
The Attendance Analysis dashboard has been enhanced to calculate attendance using scheduled minutes for individual students as a denominator for attendance rates. This gives a more accurate picture of actual student attendance. The dashboard includes 3 tabs (at the top of the page): (1) attendance rates, (2) chronic absenteeism with lists of students, and (3) consecutive days absent by student. |
MAP & FastBridge Resources for Conferences
It is recommended to share fall assessment scores with families at fall conferences. We recommend the Student Progress Report for sharing MAP scores. Click here for directions on how to run the report. See the video below for interpreting the report. Additional MAP resources for parents are located here. For FastBridge assessments, we recommend to sharing the Student At-A-Glance Report or Individual Benchmark Report at conferences. More information about each report (including the pros and cons of each report) is detailed here.
A short letter to families about the transition from MAP to FastBridge for K-1 math is available here in multiple languages. Reminder: MAP Growth scores will show on the Portal in the next few days, after they are loaded into Infinite Campus. We expect FastBridge scores to be loaded into Infinite Campus during the week of October 8. Reminder: At-Risk Cut Point Added to MAP
We have applied the at-risk cut point to all historical MAP data in Infinite Campus. With this new cut point, DMPS will has three levels of performance on MAP Growth:
