We have two dashboards ready for use that will be helpful as schools prepare for June board goal quarterly check-ins and start action planning for the 2021-22 school year. Please see below for the links and more details.

Purpose: Answers the question: Are we on track to meet our board aligned goals? The ultimate measure of success and starting point for quarterly check-in conversations between principals and principal supervisors.

ISASP Student-Level Results (6.2.2021)
Student-level ISASP results are available within the OnDemand reports in PearsonAccess. Login to your Pearson account and go to Reports > OnDemand Reports. You will see a list of the students at your school who completed online tests. If you click the blue information icon next to the State ID, it will pull up a student report for that test which includes the scale score, subject area domain scores, and the DOK scores. The published reports should be available in the next couple of weeks. We’ll use those reports to upload data into Infinite Campus and then send emails to families with student results.

Spring FAST literacy assessment data has been loaded to Infinite Campus and Tableau dashboards (FAST Analysis and School Goals) have been updated. The board goal update (addition of winter FAST data) will assist elementary schools in preparing for quarterly board goal monitoring check-ins. A “cheat sheet” of where to access FAST data and data properties is included here for your reference. (Note: we are still working on the spring literacy status report.)

2020-21 District Facts Sheet (3.26.2021)
We have collaborated with the communications team to update the District Facts sheet for the 2020-21 school year. This is one of our favorite projects to highlight all the great things about our district. Each school will receive printed copies of the District Facts in the next couple of weeks (5 per elementary and 10 per secondary school).

Spring ISASP Parent/Guardian Letter (3.22.2021)
The assessment team will send this letter to families on Thursday, March 25 via SchoolCNXT and Infinite Campus messenger. We anticipate that the letter will produce some questions. Please check in with your testing coordinator or Jeff Panek ([email protected]) for any assistance. Here’s a high-level ISASP timeline:

- April 19 - May 9: School Testing Coordinators print tickets and prepare teacher packets
- May 10 – 28: In-person testing window

Iowa's Conditions for Learning (CfL) Survey (3.22.2021)
The assessment team will send a Conditions for Learning survey communication and opt-out form to families of grades 3-12 students on April 12. We will send the list of students whose parents/guardians have opted them out to schools on April 28. If a parent/guardian determines they do not want their student to participate in the survey after the opt out form closes, the parent/guardian may still do so and will be instructed to contact their school directly. Principals received an email from Margi Neve on Monday, March 15 to designate online registration processors. Each school should designate at least two processors. If you have not designated processors yet, please do so here. Once you designate a processor, they will receive an email to select their training session. The attached information brief highlights the changing student demographics at DMPS over the past 20 years and how DMPS student demographics compare to the state of Iowa. This brief will be utilized by our legislative team as we advocated to increase funding to serve our English learners and students in poverty. Some of the key facts in the brief include:

- The percent of DMPS students who are non-white has increased by 35 percentage points over the last 20 years.
- One out of every five Black/African American students in the state of Iowa attends DMPS.

These check-in meetings will build a mutual sense of accountability, align work from the board table to the classroom, inform support/resource allocation to schools, monitor outcomes (not just activity) and link adult actions to student outcomes, and meet Iowa Department Education requirements for ESSA targeted and comprehensive supports schools. Please see the attached timeline for more information and the agenda for these meetings.
